1. Agreement and eligibility
By downloading, accessing, registering for, or using CiCwtch, you agree to these Terms. You confirm that you are at least the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction and have authority to bind the business or organisation using the service.
The primary contracting user is the dog walking professional or business owner. That user is responsible for ensuring that staff, subcontractors, and invited users access the service in line with these Terms and any applicable law.
2. Service scope
CiCwtch is a software platform intended to support bookings, diaries, communications, invoicing, walk records, and related operational workflows for dog walking businesses. It is not veterinary advice, legal advice, insurance, emergency response, or a substitute for professional judgement.
- You remain responsible for pet welfare, client agreements, keys, access arrangements, route safety, safeguarding, and business compliance.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of data entered into the platform.
- We may improve, modify, suspend, or retire features from time to time.
3. Accounts, security, and acceptable use
You must keep credentials secure, use reasonable access controls, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised access. You must not misuse the platform, interfere with service operation, attempt unauthorised access, upload unlawful content, or use the platform to infringe the rights of others.
Plain English:
Don’t do anything reckless, unlawful, or daft with the system. Keep your account secure and use it for your business, not for nonsense.
4. Fees, billing, and app store terms
Paid features may be offered on subscription or other commercial terms shown at the point of purchase. Unless stated otherwise, fees are due in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated by us.
If you access CiCwtch through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the relevant app marketplace may apply additional usage terms, platform rules, and billing conditions. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms, but where required by platform rules they may be treated as third-party beneficiaries of the mobile end-user licence provisions.
5. Data protection and customer content
You retain responsibility for the personal data and business records you submit to the platform. Where CiCwtch processes personal data on your behalf as a processor, that processing is governed by the applicable privacy notice and any separate data processing terms made available by us.
- You must only upload data you have a lawful basis to process.
- You remain responsible for your own privacy notices, client communications, retention decisions, and lawful instructions.
- You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, secure, transmit, and back up your content for service delivery.
6. Availability, disclaimers, and liability
We aim to provide a reliable service, but the platform is supplied on an as-available basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties not expressly stated here. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to that, our aggregate liability for claims arising from the service will be limited to the fees paid by you for the relevant service period, except where a different cap is required by law or explicitly agreed in writing.
7. Suspension, termination, and governing law
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, non-payment, breach of these Terms, or platform integrity. You may stop using the service at any time, subject to any applicable paid-term commitments already accepted.
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of England and Wales unless a mandatory local law requires otherwise. Courts with competent jurisdiction in England and Wales will generally have jurisdiction over disputes.
